Pedro Tovar Braga was born in 1990 in Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brazil. He started studying Automation Engineering in 2008 at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He began to focus on the Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication field in 2011 during an exchange program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - Illinois - USA. He went back to PUC-Rio in 2012, where he graduated as Electrical Engineer in 2013. In this period, he started working at Technip, first as a Trainee, and later on as an Automation/Instrumentation Engineer.
Four years later, after gaining experience on engineering projects at the office and at construction sites (FPSO project - PETROBRAS-76), he went back to take his MsC degree at PUC-Rio. Currently, his main research interests are: optical communications; signal processing; FPGA and digital electronic circuits design; neural networks; and ultrasonic waves.
